Fire safety should be followed at all times. Many people come in contact with fire and fire hazard while doing common household activities. Some of these potential hazards are candles, cooking and clothes dryers.
Every day, an average of 42 house fires caused by candles are reported. More than half of these fires occur because flammable objects catch fire because they are too close to the candle flame. To help prevent candle fires, candles should never be left attended or left burning while asleep, keep candles at least 12 inches away from flammable objects like mattresses and curtains, and use ceramic or glass holders. Using battery-operated or electric flame-less candles will give the ambiance of candles without the danger.
